Selective

Custom selective soldering fixtures

Selective soldering solders specific joints on a PCB without exposing the whole board to a wave — ideal for mixed-technology assemblies. The fixture holds and locates the board so the nozzle or the dip reaches each joint precisely and repeatably. Griftools designs selective fixtures around your board and your machine, whether Ersa, Seho, Inertec or other.

When to choose selective over wave

Selective soldering suits boards with few through-hole joints, tall or heat-sensitive neighbours, or double-sided assemblies where a full wave would be wasteful or risky. Wave soldering is faster for densely through-hole boards at volume. We can advise which fits your line — and build the fixture either way.

Machine compatibility

We design fixtures for the major selective platforms:

Other machines on request — tell us the model and we'll match the fixture to it.

Designed from your Gerber data

Send your Gerber, STEP, DXF, ODB++ or HPGL and information about your machinery. We design for precise nozzle or dip access, board support and repeatable location, then validate with a prototype before series.
