Designing PCB depaneling fixtures for clean separation

GrifTools PCB depaneling router fixture shown open with panel nest

Depaneling separates individual boards from a manufacturing panel. The fixture holds and locates the panel so the cut is accurate and the components near the cut line are not stressed — which protects yield on exactly the boards you have already invested the most in.

Support, clamp, clear the cut path

We design the fixture around three things: supporting the board where it needs it, clamping it so nothing shifts during the cut, and keeping the router or blade path clear. Get these right and separation is clean and repeatable.

Matched to your machine

Depaneling and router fixtures are built to your panel and your machine, so they fit the platforms you already run. Send your panel data — Gerber, STEP, DXF, ODB++ or HPGL — and we will design support, clamping and cut-path clearance to match.
